Partindo de um pressentimento transversal de ansiedade, SUCH AN ORANGE ANXIETY explora
momentos visuais onde através dos materiais e suas características, convocadas para situações
precárias, a iminência de um fracasso se torna uma realidade quase tangível.
A imanência da cor (laranja) acompanha a totalidade das obras mostradas, servindo tanto o propósito de uma sedução subtil, como paradoxalmente, o de uma gritante sinalização de potencial perigo que, através da fluorescência da cor, satura a visão.
A vida contemporânea é evocada através de objetos e pequenas referências a ambientes quotidianos, permitindo uma sensação familiaridade que é, num segundo momento, atraiçoada. Nada é seguro, ou estável e cada obra procura o limiar entre uma existência frágil e um antecipável colapso.
Considering a transversal presentiment of anxiety as a starting point, SUCH AN ORANGE ANXIETY explores visual moments where, through the materials and their characteristics, summoned to precarious situations, the imminence of a failure becomes an almost tangible reality.
The immanence of color (orange) accompanies the totality of the works shown, serving both the purpose of a subtle seduction and, paradoxically, that of a blatant sign of potential danger which saturates the vision through the fluorescence of the color.
Contemporary life is evoked through objects and small references to everyday environments, allowing a sense of familiarity that is, in a second moment, betrayed. Nothing is safe, or stable, and each work seeks the threshold between a fragile existence and an anticipated collapse.
